Founder Story: Concept to Reality

Our story is simple: we’re just two regular guys, Vinay and I, trying to make a positive difference in the world. Y Drink wasn’t born out of some sudden stroke of genius—there’s no “perfect” origin story here because, well, perfection doesn’t exist!

The truth is, we spent months tossing around ideas, trying to figure out a problem worth solving. Finally, it hit us: the problem we needed to solve was our own.

We’re two guys who don’t drink alcohol, love hitting the gym, and prioritise our health above everything else. But after the pandemic, we realized how much we’d stopped going out. Social environments often felt isolating, with alcohol being the main focus and no great non-alcoholic alternatives to enjoy.

We wanted to go out without feeling left out, but the options didn’t make it easy. An alcoholic drink? Not for us. A sugary, calorie-loaded non-alcoholic option? That didn’t align with our health goals either. It felt like a lose-lose situation every time.

We craved a drink that let us be social without sacrificing our health. But nothing on the market truly fit the bill, leaving us feeling out of place when all we wanted was to blend in and enjoy the moment.

On top of that, we were tired of getting sick so often. Colds and illnesses had become frustratingly frequent, and we discovered that gut health plays a huge role—regulating about 70-80% of your immune system. This got us thinking: what if there was a drink that was non-alcoholic, delicious, supported gut health and immunity, and actually looked cool to hold while socializing?

That’s why we created Y. It may have started as a selfish solution for ourselves, but we knew we had to share it with the world.

Y is a functional mocktail, with all the benefits, designed to match the growing trend of health consciousness whilst offering the better choice in social settings. It’s the perfect answer for those who want to balance health and fun, without the compromise.

But Y is more than just a drink—it’s a movement, a culture. It’s physical proof that health and a vibrant social life can go hand in hand. No sacrifices. No compromises. Just joy, fun, and feeling your best self.

Y not feel better?
